Over the years I've sometimes picked up odd or interesting vintage
photographs when they caught my fancy and the price seemed right. Some
are sold, some I've kept. Photos and books seem to go hand-in-hand, and
so we have put together a new feature on the website devoted to odd,
unusual or interesting vintage images. Some will simply be interesting
enough that we feel like sharing them with other people; some will be for
sale. We've just put the first one up, an image from my own collection
that I loved the first moment I saw it. I call it "The River", and it
shows a family somewhere in the American southwest at the end of the 19th
century, "getting back to Nature", Victorian-style...
